This week @ the Pool: Friday 7/8 – Friday 7/22
4th of July Weekend Recap
We hope our members enjoyed the 4th of July weekend and had the opportunity to participate in our Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday with our local fire department, Rafternoon on Saturday afternoon, and impromptu live DJ and games throughout Monday. A big thanks to member Baard Grindal for volunteering to DJ, and to our Special Activities Director Bethany Quick for making the July 4 holiday at the Pool a little more fun and exciting for our members and their kids.
Pool Capacity Reminder
As a reminder, members may check the headcount status on the pool website here . The recent upgrades performed by the service provider have made it more reliable and faster to respond.
Amenity Updates
Our newly painted pickleball (+nets) and basketball sport courts are now available for our members and their guests in the side parking lot. Members may utilize the side lot sport courts on a first-come-first-serve basis. The Board has asked the NV Pool staff to set up the nets daily to make them easier to access for our members. We encourage members to bring their own pickleball rackets and balls (the Pool is not able to provide these at this time) and check out this fun new amenity. If you don't see the nets up while at the Pool, simply ask the NV Pool guard staff at the front desk to assist you in setting up the nets.
A Reminder on Sharing the Pool Deck Furniture
We encourage all of our members and their guests to to enjoy the chaise lounges, picnic tables and chairs at the Pool. However, this weekend a complaint from a member was made about two adults who had claimed six (6) chaise lounges for only themselves and their stuff while other members were unable to find seating due to the Pool being full. Please be courteous to your fellow members by only occupying and "claiming" the number of chairs you need for you and your family/friends. In other words, don't use more chairs than you really need to use – chairs are for people, not stuff. We've not historically had to police this type of behavior, but if it continues, we will have to look at new rules.
