It's been a busy week, with weather wreaking havoc on pool operations and our team meets. The dive team especially would like to thank the members for letting them make up two meets (one home and one away) at our pool this week. Letting the kids compete is important, both for our members and the members of the other pools, and our flexibility and hospitality is one of the reasons our pool is noted in the NVSL.

A gentle reminder to folks that our break times are when the pool is supposed to be adults-only. Parents are permitted to bring two children under 10 in during breaks - the intent is to give parents time to work with their non-swimming kids to get them comfortable in the water. But the kids are only allowed in the wings of the pool. The center section and dive well is for adults only.

Upcoming Events:

📍Friday, July 11: 11am - 2:30pm- Rescheduled Dive Meet

* The dive well and center section of the pool will be closed for the meet. The wings of the pool will open at 11am to the general public. The Dive Team hopes to keep a quick pace for the meet and return the pool to the membership in time for the afternoon.

📍Saturday, July 12: 8am - 12pm- Home Swim Meet

* The pool will open at noon following the swim meet.

📍Sunday, July 13: 3pm - 5pm- Rafternoon; 5pm - 7pm Dolphin Diner

* Enjoy lounging around in the pool with your favorite float! Once you're done, visit the Dive Dolphin Diner (hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, snacks and candy available for purchase) from 5pm - 7pm. Cash and cards accepted.

📍Monday, July 14: 3pm - 9pm- Home Swim Meet

* The pool and sports court will close at 3pm to the general public. Current Greenbriar Pool Members may use the Brookfield Swim Club pool today (7/14/25) starting at 3pm. The club address is: 13615 Pennsboro Dr. Chantilly, VA 20151; 571-969-7946. Please note this is only available to GPC members on specified days.

📍Wednesday, July 16: 7:30pm - 9:30pm- July Board Meeting

* The meeting will be held at Chantilly Regional Library: 4000 Stringfellow Rd, Chantilly, VA 20151. Meetings are open to all members. If you wish to address the board, please RSVP to pool@greenbriar.org with an outline of your topic three days prior to the meeting.
