The pool may covered, the funbrellas may be stowed, and summer may seem a long way off, but we're only 85 days from opening day and projects are underway to make the pool an even nicer place to spend those warm days ahead.

The biggest change patrons are likely to notice will be the new flooring in the locker rooms, designed to be a lot grippier than the plain concrete and a bit more decorative.

There will also be quite a bit of new paint around the facilities -- on the locker room doors and a few key walls -- and we could use your help getting it all finished. In fact, we'll have a lot of projects for volunteers in the coming months. So come out and help get YOUR pool ready for the 2013 season!
